In the winter of 2014, Bishop Luers engaged in a feasibility study that would gather community input and provide a clear direction and plan for moving forward with Phase II of the campaign. Based on feedback from community members, approval was given to launch Phase II of Faith in Our Future.
The goal of Phase II is to complete the core infrastructure, including building renovations that focus on enhancing the student experience in faith formation, media/technology and the arts. These student-focused upgrades and additions will be the largest in the history of Bishop Luers and will have a direct impact on the quality of education that students receive.
Chapel of Saint Francis: Completed
Performing Arts Assembly Hall:
Bishop Luers lacks large meeting spaces for enrichment activities (e.g. show choir, dance, cheerleading, plays, etc). For example, many of our clubs have meetings in the hallways because of high pupil demand and the subsequent lack of space. This new 4,000 sq. ft. addition to the cafeteria will help address this challenge.
21st Century Media Center & Library: Completed
Complete Energy Efficient Façade Renovation:
Many of the rooms in our building are cold and drafty and we spend unnecessary money keeping them warm. Replacing our single pane windows will decrease our long term heating and cooling expenses.
We have not yet met our goal of $4 million to complete all phases of this campaign’s projects.
Together, we have completed the Chapel of Saint Francis of Assisi, but are still seeking donations for liturgical items. The chapel puts the Eucharist front and center in our school community. The new state-of-the-art media center has become a hub of the school.
We will continue to build on the strong traditions of our half-century-old institution with a vision of our future that is bold, transformative, and achievable.
We continue to reach our goals through this ambitious fundraising initiative. Through five-year pledge periods, all members of the Bishop Luers’ community can contribute to our school’s strength in a meaningful way. Gifts may be made as memorials, in honor of someone, or as a gift from a group or individual. Recognition opportunities are available.
Success requires extraordinary leadership from the Bishop Luers’ community, including the board, faculty and staff, alumni, parents, and friends from across the country. By joining together in unanimous support of this historic undertaking, we are realizing our dream. Success allows us to continue our reputation of excellence and our dedication to prepare our students to face the challenges in their lives.
Bishop Luers invites you to join us through your leadership, your generosity, and your participation in Faith in Our Future.
Still to accomplish: Performing Arts Assembly Hall and completion of the façade (windows).

Please contact Kathy Skelly, Director of Development, if you are interested in supporting the campaign or if you have any questions or concerns regarding the campaign.
Yes! Donations to the Annual Fund help meet current operating budget needs. Your gift to the Annual Fund goes directly into the current school year’s operating funds.
Gifts to the capital campaign provide significant reserves for special projects. Capital funds do not go to the operating budget, but provide the necessary support to fund projects and improvements driven by curricular developments and other objectives.
To ensure we are able to attract the brightest children in our community, it is a priority for our school to keep tuition as low as possible.
Pledges are very important to the success of this campaign. One time gifts are appreciated, but a pledge gives you the opportunity to give more over time. If you can give $500 today, why not pledge $2,500 to the campaign and commit to a gift of $500 a year for the next 5 years?
You can leave a legacy to Bishop Luers by bequest, trust, or retirement plan. These gifts help reduce your taxable estate while allowing you to retain full control of your assets during your lifetime.
Staff members in our Office of Mission Advancement are eager to help you and your legal advisors craft bequest language to ensure that your objectives are met. For assistance, or to further explore the benefits of making a charitable bequest, please contact :
